Quality Management System of Republican Unitary Enterprise “Minsk Tractor Works” includes all areas of the works, ranging from market research and gather information about the desires and demands of consumers to their full implementation. The system allows to control the processes of the life cycle of manufacturing, improve them, to provide constant monitoring and make changes.
The main purpose of QMS of RUE “MTW” - meeting the needs of the market in quality and affordable variety of tractor equipment and machines.
Achieving this goal allows the following tasks:
- improvement of marketing activities to reveal the needs of consumers and form the stock of orders, providing correspondence of sales amount and size of orders;
- development of commodity distribution and service network, development of new markets;
- product development based on consumer demands;
- improvement of manufacturing processes and preproduction, making of the optimal technical decisions providing high quality at minimum cost;
- interaction with suppliers, purchase of high quality components and materials at the optimal price, in terms and in volumes, providing the fulfilment of production plan;
- optimization of production scheduling, providing of smooth production flow and execution of customer orders in accordance with the terms of contract.
The company's management team regularly reviews the status of quality management system to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness, and assesses the possibility for improvement and the need for changes, including policy and objectives of the enterprise in the field of quality. Actions for improvement are carried out.
RUE “MTW” conducts regular efforts to enhance the prestige and attractiveness of tractors with "Belarus" trademark by introducing measures to improve the quality and competitiveness, technical level, reliability and service.
Measures include the following:
- improvement of the quality management system;
- stability of certified parameters;
- measures to eliminate non-conformances revealed in the production;
- raising the technical level of products;
- improvement of quality control system;
- improving the quality of purchased components and perfection the relationships with suppliers;
- satisfaction of consumers and organization of products maintenance.
Implementation of measures allows to reduce the loss of reject and decrease the number of tractors failures in operation.
The enterprise carries out a systematic work not only on its territory and factories belonging to the Production Association “MTW”, but also with other suppliers of materials and components for manufactured equipment. In the agreements and contracts for supply of components made stringent requirements on quality and reliability, as well as the conditions for recovery of costs from suppliers for poor-quality products.
Increasing in production of tractor machines, expansion of sales markets is impossible without organization of high-quality after-sale service. Considering this, RUE “MTW” conducts the development work of the existing maintenance network and creation of new service centers as in the Republic of Belarus and also abroad. Service centers provide machinery maintenance in the warranty and after warranty periods, and established on the basis of RUE “MTW” training center provides training of personnel operating on such machinery, its arrangement, rules of operation and maintenance.
Products produced at the enterprise (agricultural tractors, forestry, mining and handling machinery, construction, road and municipal engineering products with “Belarus” trademark) undergo obligatory certification and ommologation. Certification tests are conducted on accredited in accreditation systems of Republic of Belarus and Russian Federation (accreditation certificate № BY/112. 02.2.0.0022 dated “12” 12.2005 and №ROSS BY.0001.22MS38 of 25.04.2006) "Tractor" factory testing center with representatives from the certification authority.
RUE “MTW” annually participates in implementation of sectoral program “Quality”. The program represents issues of standardization, perfection of the regulatory base, improvement of quality and increasing of export potential, development of “Belarus” tractors family, information support, personnel training.
In 2009 the quality management system of RUE “MTW” successfully passed inspection check for compliance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2009 and the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. The company has certificates of compliance for the quality management system № BY/112 050.01.002 00336 dated 21.08.2004 and № QMS-00026 dated 21.06.2004.
In the field of quality RUE “MTW” is a winner of numerous competitions and holder of significant number of awards from the Government of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Industry of Belarus, “Best product of Belarus on the market of Russian Federation", etc.
In the nearest plans the works intends to integrate three management systems operating on RUE “MTW”: quality, industrial safety and environmental protection. Enterprise management and quality services are making every effort to develop and improve the quality management system, which will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the expectations of the consumer and meet their needs.
